Cat Deeley has spoken publicly about how she and Patrick Kielty are managing their responsibilities as parents following the end of their marriage. The television presenter confirmed that she and Kielty are dividing their time with their two sons equally, describing the arrangement as a 50-50 split.
The couple announced their separation in July 2025 after 12 years of marriage. Since then, both have focused on maintaining stability for their children. Deeley, who hosts This Morning, explained that the priority has been keeping things consistent and calm for the boys.
She noted that co-parenting requires communication and flexibility, especially given the demands of their careers. Both Deeley and Kielty work in television, which can involve unpredictable schedules. Despite that, they have worked out a system that allows each of them meaningful time with their sons.
Deeley described the transition as an adjustment but said the children remain at the center of every decision. She did not go into specific details about the terms of the split or any legal matters. Instead, she emphasized that she and Kielty are committed to being present parents.
The presenter also touched on how she is handling her own routine, saying she takes things one day at a time. She credited her support network and her work for helping her stay grounded. According to Deeley, the focus now is simply on raising her sons in a healthy and loving environment, even if the family structure looks different than before.
