"The Angry Birds Movie 3" Trailer Lands, Parenting Takes Center Stage

June 29, 2026 - 18:21

Paramount Pictures has dropped the first trailer for "The Angry Birds Movie 3," the next chapter in the animated franchise that nobody expected to see again. The film is set to fly into theaters nationwide this December, just in time for the Christmas holiday.

The new footage leans heavily into a familiar but relatable theme: the chaos of raising kids. One bird looks at another and asks, "Why is he doing that? Is that normal?" The reply comes back flat and uncertain: "I don't know." It is a moment that any parent will recognize. The trailer suggests that the sequel will focus less on the original game's slingshot revenge and more on the daily struggle of keeping young hatchlings out of trouble.

The animation looks bright and polished, with the same colorful, cartoony style that defined the first two films. While the original movies were built around the simple premise of angry birds fighting thieving pigs, this third entry seems to pivot toward family dynamics and the humor that comes with it. Whether that shift will land with audiences remains to be seen.

"The Angry Birds Movie 3" arrives in theaters in December.
