Free online Active Parenting program begins soon at David Lawrence Centers in Naples

A new series of free Active Parenting courses is set to begin soon at the David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health in Collier County. The program, which has been around since the early 1980s, is built on an evidence-based curriculum. That means the techniques and approaches taught have been studied and shown to produce real benefits for families.

According to Jasmine Pagano, Wellness Program Supervisor at the DLC Wellness Institute, the classes focus on lowering household conflict and improving child behavior. The methods are backed by research and designed to give parents practical tools they can use right away.

The upcoming sessions are open to the public at no cost. They offer a chance for parents and caregivers to learn new strategies for communicating with children and setting boundaries in a calm, effective way. The program aims to reduce stress at home while building stronger relationships between parents and kids.

For those interested, the courses will be held at the David Lawrence Centers location in Naples. Space may be limited, so early sign-up is recommended. The program is part of a broader effort by the Wellness Institute to support mental health and family well-being in the community.
